You cannot stand a certain family situation any more?


Running away from home is not the answer!

• Draw up a list of difficulties that you face

• Talk it over with your parents, or if this is not possible, talk to an adult whom you trust (a relative, your teacher, your chaplain)

• If this still doesn't work, ask for help from the local juvenile protection agency. They are usually quite busy, but their main task is to help families in trouble.

• Is it urgent to leave the home?
Be warned, on the streets you are exposed to all sorts of danger. Things like, illicit drugs, prostitution, kidnapping. Be careful with sweet talks, and "people like yourself who have found a solution" phrases. Talk to a person whom you trust and whose job is to find you a safe place.
