But also to all the children who have been abducted and found assassinated by perverts, and to their families who have lived terrible moments. But also to all the children who have been abducted and found assassinated by perverts, and to their families who have lived terrible moments.
Together with other organizations, FREDI wishes that, during that particular day, we all think of the missing children, not only in Switzerland, but also in Europe and all over the world. Together with its foreign partners, FREDI will initiate in Switzerland that, each year, the 25th of May will be marked and remembered by a symbolic action. This symbol, the Myosotis, is the little flower against forgetting, in several languages: "Forget me not", " Vergiss Mein nicht", "Ne m'oublie pas"..... This year, we propose to apply, in addition, a preventive action Take pictures of your children! It is a proven fact that recent photos of your child or teenager, offer a better chance of finding them fast and alive.
How did this international commemoration day come about? On 25th May 1979 a 6 years old child went missing in New York. From then on, each year, many organizations commemorated this day. It is only in 1983 that the U.S. President declared it as the "missing children day". Canada followed the move in 1986, and it is now our turn to introduce this day of remembrance and hope here and in Europe. FREDI’s team
